Hack4green: A look at Solidex 1 year later
The 2022 USF convention, focusing on the theme: ” Responsible digital “, offered hackathon winners and all participants the opportunity to present and discuss their projects.
It was also an opportunity to look back on the milestones achieved, and look ahead to the future. A response to the USF 2023 Convention theme ” Crises, sources of ” new ” models of thought “, Solidex enables ” new ” thinking in the face of :
- economic crisis: inflation in resource and energy costs
- Crisis environmental: carbon dioxide (GHG) emissions, waste management, scarcity of water and raw materials that must be saved
- Crisis individual: finding meaning in one’s own work
- Crisis social: how to work together for the common good
Our Constat: today, French companies could develop their patronage in kind (goods and skills), which is still under-represented, but encounter obstacles linked to a lack of tools, visibility and opportunities.
Our Vision with SOLIDEX : to propose an eco-designed and innovative solution to help companies offer both goods and services for associations working for the well-being of our society.
Solidex’s value proposition: companies could implement small, everyday gestures to develop their philanthropy through donations of equipment or by loaning employees for the duration of a mission or more regularly, in inter-contract situations or at the end of their career.
The first actions could be to :
- Donate computer equipment and help an association train in IT tools
- Set up or update an eco-designed website,
- Help reduce the digital divide and promote best digital practices.
Next step: Integrate the first beta testers!
APPLIUM wishes to continue the Solidex adventure with an eco-designed solution to contribute to more relationships and mutual aid in the territories, to bring together people from different generations, from different social backgrounds, and from the professional and non-professional worlds.

Digital sovereignty of the data cloud with OVHcloud
OVHcloud took advantage of Convention 2023 to announce the launch of SAP HANA on Private Cloud. This solution is based on VMWare on OVHcloud, which is SecNumCloud qualified.
This solution is already marketed as part of our “SAP on OVHcloud Hosting” service offering, which combines the technical expertise of the 100% SAP integrator with the French hosting provider.
On this occasion, Thierry Le Dilosquer, head of the technical infrastructure department spoke to the web about his project:
” At Adoma (Groupe CDC Habitat), security and data protection are at the heart of our concerns. Following a call for tenders, we selected the APPLIUM and OVHcloud partnership for the use of European and sovereign infrastructures to migrate and host all our SAP environments. “
In a colorful booth, the European hosting provider was able to explain the challenges of sovereignty and remind us that data localization alone does not guarantee extraterritorial data immunity (CloudAct and FISA). The nationality of the Cloud provider is the essential criterion.

An opportunity to take a look back at the Applium teams’ transition project from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud (RISE), which took less than 9 months to complete.
Our CSR boost: support for Solidarités International
Once again this year, Applium produced a 100% recyclable wooden stand to reduce the volume of plastic waste.
We chose not to offer “unresponsible” goodies, but to devote our efforts to a useful action in favor of the environment.
The scratch-off game, developed on the BTP platform, was offered to everyone present on the stand during the convention.
In this way, we gave visibility to Solidarités Internationale, which is particularly committed to access to water in France and abroad.
At the end of the agreement, a donation of 1,000EUR was made to the association.
