A new department dedicated to placing independent SAP profiles

In addition to these historical activities carried out with employees, Applium announces the creation of a dedicated department for managing relationships with independent contractors.

Finding a Consultant in a Scarce Market

Around the world, S/4HANA migration projects and digitization of business processes are putting a high demand on SAP consultants. In France, a 2022 SAP study mentions a shortage of 3,000 SAP consultants to meet the demand in the coming years.

Bertrand Dalaison, Associate Director at Applium, comments on this observation: “ The figure of 3,000 missing consultants is likely lower than reality. And it's probable that this shortage will be felt until 2028/2030, with a peak we estimate between 2024 and 2025. ”.

In this context of lasting scarcity, our ability as an SAP integrator to effectively collaborate with the thousands of independent SAP consultants present in France (and in Europe), in addition to our 130 employed consultants, had become critical.

“ Applium has been working with independent SAP consultants for many years, to strengthen our teams within the projects we undertake, but also within the scope of our TMA contracts. It's also a good way to access rare expertise. ” confirms Alix Ponsada, Associate Director at Applium.

Surpassing 100 Independent Consultants on Average by 2024

The establishment of the “ SAP Placement Department ” aims to structure and industrialize this activity in order to significantly enhance its capabilities. The ambition is to increase the average number of independent consultants placed from 25 in 2022 to over 100 consultants on average by 2024.

The primary mission of this department is to assist SAP clients in matching the right profiles with their needs. “ Of course, to achieve this goal, we will offer our search and placement services for independent contractors well beyond our historical clients ” confirms David Cairat.
